Internship Credit

Policy Statement

Students participating in an internship on a study abroad program will receive credit based on the following guidelines.

In order to receive 1 credit, students must meet the following criteria.

1 credit should equate to:

  • 7.5–15  hours of classroom contact, and
  • 30-60 hours at the internship site, and
  • 2 hours of additional work outside of class per total classroom contact hour

Procedures

This policy applies to UofM LAC Sponsored Center-Based Programs and Non-UofM Center-Based programs for which the University of Minnesota serves as School of Record.
