The Community Engagement Scholars Program (CESP) is offered through The Center for Community-Engaged Learning (CCEL). The CCEL works with partners to provide opportunities for students to engage in off-campus experiential learning through community work and place-based educational programs.
Learning abroad is a great way to experience community engagement with different cultures and to learn about how they can affect social change within their own communities. It can broaden our understanding of global citizenship, what it means to work in solidarity with someone across the world on the same issues, and bring a fresh perspective on how we might address those issues in the US.
