Regional Workshops
The LAC hosts regional workshops around the country on college campuses or meeting centers. These short seminars (6 hours of content) will bring experiences from the University of Minnesota together for others to learn from and share their expertise, pose questions, and discuss trends. Invite appropriate campus allies- these workshops will provide an arena for lively discussion and time allotted to sketch out the career integration roadmap for the next steps on your campus. Email Tim Dohmen to find out more.
Workshop Description
Career Integration focuses on the career and life planning of students by communicating the cross-cultural and global needs of today's workforce. Join us at our pre-conference workshop as we examine different ways to integrate career-interest discussions and touchpoints into our work within the field of education abroad and for the students we serve.
Discussion topics will include how to design and build programs that serve diverse populations and what are some of the unique motivations and needs of underrepresented students connecting experiences abroad into career planning. We look to session participants to share and discuss different approaches and brainstorm ideas that can be utilized in the future.
