Attend classes in engineering and related fields with Swedish and international students at the Chalmers University of Technology on this academic exchange program. Chalmers is known for research and teaching in science, technology, and engineering. About 40% of graduate engineers in Sweden studied at Chalmers.
Open to juniors and seniors with a 3.0 GPA and a major in engineering or science. Students majoring in science disciplines in CLA, CFANS, and CBS may be admitted if course requirements are available at Chalmers. Applications must be endorsed by the College of Science and Engineering. Deadlines are May 1 for fall semester candidates and November 1 for spring semester.
Design a study program in consultation with a faculty adviser in the College of Science and Engineering. A language course is highly recommended. Instruction in English and Swedish by Swedish faculty. English-based instruction begins in the fourth year of study at Chalmers, which is early graduate education. Exchange students are expected to have three years of college study completed before enrolling at Chalmers. You receive transfer credit and typical credit load includes: 26–30 for academic year; 13–15 for fall or spring semester.
Program fees include tuition, fees, Learning Abroad Center charges, and international health insurance. Housing, meals, airfare, and personal expenses are additional.
