  2. About China Center: Chinese Universities Exchange Program

The CUEP program is an educational exchange program between the University of Minnesota's China Center and Peking University in Beijing, China.

    Application Deadline

The China Center application deadline for the 2019/20 academic year is March 15, 2019. Applications are reviewed by a committee and applicants may also interview with the committee. As there is commonly only one scholarship for University of Minnesota students, this program is competitive and students are encouraged to apply for other options in China in case they are not awarded the scholarship.

    Academics

This program works particularly well for students with a Chinese major or minor. It is also great for students looking to greatly increase their Chinese language abilities.

    Program Fee

Program fees include University of Minnesota tuition, student service fees, housing and international health insurance estimated at $7,350 per semester. Meals, airfare, and personal expenses are additional. Students receive a monthly living expense stipend of about $200 from Peking University. Participating students receive updated cost information as soon as it is available.  Students may apply for scholarships offered by the China Center or other financial aid toward the program fee.
