The USIP encourages grant applications from proposals that discuss and study human rights issues and conflict resolution. For example, the causes of war and ways in which to bring about peace are worth proposals. In other words, the Unsolicited Program is open to any project that fits within the Institute's general mandate of international conflict resolution. Unsolicited grants are offered across a broad range of relevant disciplines, skills, and approaches and, the Program welcomes proposals of an interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary nature. There is more information available online concerning the grants and their specific nature.
