University of York, England Scholarship for Overseas Students

Each year, the University awards a number of scholarships to overseas students of high academic caliber. The scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis and the selection takes into account academic ability and financial need. The annual value of the scholarships is one-third or one-sixth of the appropriate tuition fee and scholarships are tenable for the duration of the award holder's course, subject to satisfactory progress. Because the scholarships cover only part of the fees, award holders are expected to show that they can meet the balance of the tuition fee and their living expenses from other sources.
