HI USA, a non-profit travel organization, is offering $2,000 scholarships to young people to travel abroad. Hostelling International USA (HI USA) works to inspire a genuine understanding of people, places and cultures for a more tolerant world. We believe in the power of travel to make a positive impact on the world. Award recipients receive $2,000 to help finance international trips that include an educational or service component.

Other Eligibility
To be considered for the Explore the World Travel scholarship, candidates must:
- Be between the ages of 18-30
- Reside or attend school in the Twin Cities metro area (or any of the 13 other scholarship locations)
- Demonstrate financial need
- Be a US citizen or permanent US resident 5. Have a strong desire and motivation to experience other people and cultures through international travel
