The Explorers Club - Youth Activity Fund

Youth Activity Fund grants are made to high school and college students to enable them to participate in field research in the natural sciences under the supervision of a qualified scientist and/or institution. Research stipend amounts typically range from five hundred ($500) to fifteen hundred ($1500) dollars; and only a limited number of applicants from a single institution should expect to be funded in any year. The stipends awarded may be applied to any direct cost of specific field work, such as transportation, supplies, subsistence and equipment. Salaries and expenses such as tuition or indirect costs are not allowed. Joint funding is strongly encouraged and applicants should list other sources of funds on the form.
