The University of Minnesota Twin Cities Education Abroad Network includes and serves professional advisers, faculty members, administrators, and others involved with education abroad. Meetings will be organized and convened twice a year by the Learning Abroad Center, but the agenda will be open to issues and topics identified by the entire group and relevant to a majority of participants. Preference will be given to sharing of practices, benchmarking, and updates to foster communication and expanded, multidisciplinary collaboration in regard to study abroad. Meetings are usually held twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring.

Please join us for the Spring 2024 Education Abroad Network meeting on Tuesday April 9 from 2.30-4pm. We will again offer a hybrid option but would really like to see you in person if you can join us. We will reserve some time at the start of the meeting for refreshments and an opportunity to connect with LAC staff and campus colleagues.
Undergraduate students often cite cost as the major barrier to their participation in learning abroad. Come join us as we hear from both Learning Abroad Center and Office of Student Finance staff experienced in assisting students finance an education abroad experience. Learn more about the student process, the resources available and how to talk about cost and the value of the experience. As always we will reserve time for audience Q&A.
Register here and please reach out to Tim Dohmen with any questions
Fall 2023 EAN Meeting
Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. (CDT)
Location: 402 Walter Library or via Zoom
The Learning Abroad Center would like to welcome you back to campus by inviting you to join us for the Fall 2023 Education Abroad Network meeting. We would really love to connect with you in person for this meeting. If you are unable to make it in person there will be the option to join remotely. We will reserve the few minutes of the meeting to have some refreshments and connect with LAC staff and campus colleagues.
Following some updates about the Learning Abroad Center including information about enrollment, new staff, curriculum and initiatives, we will be talking about some of the lesser known and unique programs in our portfolio. Like all Learning Abroad Center programs, they place a great value on academics and intercultural learning but are distinctive because they are in less conventional locations, have unique experiential opportunities and in some cases may even be less expensive.
