IES is an affiliated program. You receive resident credit for the courses you take. Your grades count toward your University of Minnesota GPA, and each course appears on your transcript. More information can be found on the Academics Policy page.
Semester / Academic-Year Programs
Combine intensive language study at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels with area studies courses in international business, the arts, and social sciences in the beginning/intermediate program. If you have advanced language skills, you are required to take at least 1 course at 1 of 6 local universities. With a 3.2 GPA or higher, you are eligible for the advanced Spanish honors program at Universidad Torcuato di Tella. Internships offered in business, education, and the arts. Instruction in Spanish and English by Argentine faculty. Typical credits: 30 per year; 15 for fall or spring semester.
