    Jill Fischer

Jill FischerJill Fischer started working in the Learning Abroad Center in 2019 for her second time. In between her two times at the University of Minnesota, Jill worked for Northwestern College (IA), Gustavus Adolphus College and Minnesota State University-Mankato. Jill earned her undergraduate degree in Theatre with a minor in Spanish from St Mary's University of Minnesota and her Masters degree from Minnesota State University-Mankato. When Jill is not in the LAC, she enjoys her porch (in good weather), her kids, food, her dog, photography and good theatre and film. She also owns a small video company which focuses on telling local, feel-good stories about people and non-profits. She was born and raised on a farm in southwestern MN, and is one of 12 children (middle child!)

She graduated with a Spanish and Global Studies major from Concordia College where she studied abroad in Cordoba, Argentina. After college, she spent a year as a teaching assistant in Zhuahi, China. Prior to coming to the UofM, she worked for three years in Institutional Relations for another provider.
