International Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program Scholarship
The University of Minnesota is a leader in research, known for providing undergraduate students with opportunities to participate on research projects and to deepen student learning and enhance investigative skills. As we move forward in internationalizing undergraduate research, we need to be able to provide information and resources to the students we serve.
The Learning Abroad Center and the Office of Undergraduate Research presented about their credit-bearing research opportunities abroad and the newly developed International Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (I-UROP) Scholarship.
We considered the following points:
- What is an undergraduate international research project?
- What types of credit-bearing research programs are available to students through the Learning Abroad Center?
- How is IRB (Institutional Review Board) approval handled abroad?
- International UROP Scholarship application process
