The scholarship essay writing workshop will help students learn how to craft high-quality Gilman and/or Freeman-ASIA Scholarship essays. We will provide individual feedback in addition to general writing tips.
We recommend that students email an essay draft in advance (by Feb 20) to Thuy, then bring a printed draft to the session. Students may also meet with an adviser to discuss essay ideas even if they don't have a draft ready. Students may apply for both scholarships if they meet the eligibility criteria of both.
Gilman Application deadline for Summer 2020 and Fall 2020: Tuesday, October 1, 2019. Contact Thuy Doan 612.626.8686, with questions.
