Confirmation Checklist
Follow this checklist to confirm your place in the program.
Note: If you plan to use financial aid (loans, grants, scholarships) to cover costs for your study abroad experience, you are encouraged to schedule a financial aid preview meeting prior to submitting your confirmation deposit.

Program Track
Be sure to refer to your acceptance email to verify the track for which you
were accepted. Refer
to the Academics section for a list of courses available on each track.
Academic Planning Form (University of Minnesota–Twin Cities Students Only)
The French Department holds a special session at the Montpellier pre-departure orientation to discuss French major/minor credit and course equivalencies. Students planning to apply coursework taken on the Montpellier program to a French major or minor should wait for this special session and submit the Academic Planning Form after this meeting.
Housing Deposit
Students placed in apartments and the Observatoire are billed for a $500 refundable apartment
deposit. This deposit is billed to your University of Minnesota student finance
account, and you must pay this deposit. Your home institution does not pay this
fee. A refund, minus any damage expenses, are issued to you approximately
3–6 months after the program ends.
