Description
Study in Senegal’s political, cultural and economic capital of Dakar, a bustling, cosmopolitan city on the Atlantic ocean.
Curriculum
Take "Society, Culture and Politics of West Africa" for 3 credits along with a Field Practicum and a course in Wolof Language. Excursions to historical and cultural sites, including Gorée Island; Ndiassane, St. Louis, Senegal River Valley and Touba, spiritual capital of the Mouride Sufi order are included.
Typical credits: 7 for summer session.
Eligibility & Application
Open to sophomores and above with 3.0 GPA who have taken four semesters of French.
