Internationalizing On-Campus Courses
Home > Curriculum Integration > Resources

This component offers faculty an opportunity to incorporate an international perspective into courses they teach on campus. Two projects will increase the number of on-campus courses with international content.

Project 1 - The Internationalizing On-campus Courses (IOCC) project will provide faculty with the opportunity to participate in a year-long series of workshops during each academic year through 2004-2005 to integrate international content and perspectives into on-campus undergraduate courses. Workshops will be co-led by a faculty member and a staff member from the Center for Teaching and Learning Services.

For further information regarding activities within this pilot project, please contact the Center for Teaching and Learning Services at 612-625-3041 or teachlrn@umn.edu.

Pilot Project 2 - Capstone/Emersion courses
The University of Minnesota-Morris has developed international "emersion courses" for upper division students. These are on-campus courses that will be followed by a faculty-led experience abroad to build on the classroom activities.

For further information regarding activities within this pilot project, please contact Tom McRoberts at 320-589-6464 or mcrobetb@cda.mrs.umn.edu.

Results from both projects will be shared with all University of Minnesota faculty for the benefit of students on all four campuses.
